Apparently the police are trying to enforce helmets for motorcycle riders.  A guy riding a motorcycle tried to get away from the police and crashed, so the motorcycle riders are blaming the police for his death.  Therefore, they were shooting and stoning the police.  The police were the ones with the tear gas, so Cody must have been close enough to the events that he felt the effects of the tear gas.  From the smile on his face and the apparent lack of concern, he either didn’t have a clue what was happening, or else he didn’t feel threatened.  He said there was some rioting, so he was running away from the rioting.  Maybe he should have run a bit faster..............like sprinting?????
