Email received from the MTC President through Elder and Sister Curtis (Africa West Area President) that was forwarded to us:

I thought this photo might be of interest to Elder Crandall’s parents if you are sending them a note.  Yesterday in the temple, Elder Crandall had a particularly precious experience that I hope he told his parents in an email.  It is an adjustment for our missionaries from the United States to adjust to the culture and feel like they fit in with the other missionaries.  Using his great tennis skills, Elder Crandall quickly had the elders sit up and take note as they played him in ping pong.  He amazed them all.

Please tell his parents that he is a great missionary and will be just fine out in the field.  The important thing is that spiritually he is having the experience parents pray for.
